Microsoft may have just released the first Surface to mixed reviews, but that won’t stop Redmond from trying to improve one of the Surface’s supposed flaws: its size. Clocking in at 10.6 inches, the Surface isn’t winning awards for being the smallest or most portable tablet on the block. However, a new addition into the Surface family is coming soon, and its an addition of the Xbox kind. Yes, the long rumored Xbox tablet is coming. This 7 inch tablet will go toe to toe with the likes of the Nexus 7, iPad Mini, and the Kindle Fire, but will boast the Xbox ecosystem of content. Interestingly, the tablet supposedly will run on a modified kernel of either “Windows of the Future” RT or may be moved onto Intel architecture. We’ll find out soon enough, because Microsoft can’t keep hiding those Surfaces any longer.
